Summer scarves – perfect for in between seasons!

So we’ve hit September and we’re still lucky enough to have that little bit of sunshine left to keep us going as the summer comes to an end. But I always find this is an awkward time for choosing what to wear – do you get out your knitwear (fluffy knits are having a moment right now) or do you tough it out in your t-shirt?

Over on the Guardian’s style pages they are suggesting summer scarves are the answer and I think we’d agree. Lucy from our media office has been road testing one of the cute new scarves that have arrived at our online shop HQ and she reckons they are an ‘in between season’ winner.

This lovely lightweight scarf is by Disaster Designs from their ‘In a nutshell…’ range and has a quirky owl pattern. This one is in cream, but we also have it in dark purple too. It’s only £10 and would certainly give any Liberty-print scarf a run for its money. What’s more, buying from us means you’re helping some of Liverpool’s museums and galleries, so that’s sure to give you a bit of a warm glow!

We’ve also got some great bags and purses in the same range, with more owls and polka dots too, giving a retro 50s vibe that might help make your days a bit more bright and cheery when the nights start drawing in…
