Dot art voting posterThere’s still a week left for you to vote for your favourite young artist and decide which works make it into the dot-art schools exhibition, which opens at the Walker Art Gallery on the 17 May to 8 June.

Over 1000 students from 46 Liverpool City Region Schools have taken part in the competition. The judges for this year include Sandra Penketh, NML’s Director of Art Galleries, Jenny Porter, Project Manager at Metal and Liverpool Art Prize and Sarah Pickstone,  winner of the John Moores Painting Prize in 2012

Beth Harvey, Project Manager of dot-art schools said “For the school children to have their work reviewed by such experienced people in the art world is a great achievement.”

Jenny Porter says “Its a real honour to have been invited to be a judge of the dot-art Schools competition. Having worked with the Liverpool Art Prize shortlisted artists over the past five years, its really inspiring to see the younger talented artists of Liverpool who may soon become future Art Prize winners. Good Luck to all involved”

Voting is open until the 22 April, click here to see who has entered and to make your choice!
