The jury at World Museum has had a tough time ‘beetling away’, looking at all the entries into our 2014 Bug House photo competition!  Education Demonstrator, Laura Carter,  takes a look at the winners:

“We had hundreds of wonderful entries and it was very difficult to decide. But the decisions have been made and the winners have now been chosen….

Phoebe Jones, age 5, took a beautiful photograph of a shield bug laying eggs and won our age 10 and under category.

In the 11-18s category, Holly Chalk, age 13, snapped a striking Jersey Tiger Moth.

Finally, David Humphreys, age 67, captured the beautiful colours of a Ruby Tailed Wasp and won the over 18s prize.

Congratulations to all of our winners!”
