Love is in the Liverpool air!

Sweethearts and Wives by John Ingle Lee greeting card, £2.50

Valentine’s Day is famous for corny gifts, cheesy cards and overpriced flowers, and while some of you may love anything remotely romantic, we prefer unique and meaningful gifts with a twist. We have shops in five of National Museums Liverpool’s venues all offering a different array of gifts, meaning there is something on offer for everyone, love or hate the most romantic day of the year.

You might just want to say it with a card, like this lovely Sweethearts and Wives design, but for those who are struggling to find the perfect present for their loved one, look no further than our gift guide, with products available to buy online now.

For her
Gorgeous gloves
Worried your sweetheart’s hands will be cold when you’re not there to hold them? No fear! We have a whole range of gloves available online including these glamourous Daphne gloves, which will add some sparkle to the new year.

Daphne gloves, £17.00

Love Lambanana
Cuddly toys on Valentine’s Day is generally considered bad practice, but when they’re this cute who is going to say no?! Ladies from Liverpool will be particularly big fans of our plush Super Lambananas.

Plush Super Lambanana, £22

Sweet strawberries
Our Strawberry Thief accessories range are perfect for art-lovers. From bags to umbrellas, this range reproduces an original design created by William Morris in the 19th century in tapestry. We love this tote bag!

Strawberry Thief Tote Bag, £32.00

Not just jewellery
We are big fans of this handcrafted four-piece necklace, made by Cardiff-based jewellery brand NOA. Even the story behind this company is romantic – it’s run by a husband and wife team with a background in architecture and fashion design!

NOA four-piece necklace, £45

For him

Cool calendar
Want to make sure your man isn’t late for dinner? Then get this brass 40-year maritime calendar, which will give him the correct dates for 40 years, from 2016 to 2055. Just spin the dial to match the month and year and the week days will match up below. It is set in a marble holder so it even doubles up as a paperweight!

Brass 40-year calendar, £8.50

Wonderful wooden signs
One of five different designs, this wooden sign is handmade and complete with a rustic, natural string. Hang in your home to personalise your love nest!

Magnets and more
We offer a whole host of magnets on our online shop, but this Liverpool skyline one is a favourite. We love the panoramic design showing off some of the city’s best known sights.

As well as our ceramic Super Lambananas, we have a ceramic Liverbirds for Liverpool lads. If he’s a football fan, opt for either the blue or red design, or play it safe by snapping up the white Liverbird!
