‘Future Visions: Voices of the autism community’ asks local people living with autism to think ahead to what they would like and hope to achieve in the next fifty years, and celebrates their successes so far.
Alex, one of the contributors, said:
I felt extremely excited and honoured to take part in the film because I had a chance to show people that autistic people can achieve many goals.
I found the filming to be fun because it was a chance to get my face out there.
I feel proud and honoured to have represented people on the autistic spectrum because I’m living proof that just because I’m autistic it doesn’t mean that I can’t achieve things in life.
I liked representing people on the autistic spectrum because people might not know that autistic people can achieve things like everybody else.
