Gemma Dolan, the Store Development Manager at National Museums Liverpool, looks after a huge range of different objects from our varied collections, from large vehicles to works of art. Her expertise has recently been called upon, as she explains:
“Last week I spent a morning with Hope University MA student Evgeniya Petrukhina, who is learning about effective store management and how National Museums Liverpool cares for the objects in its stores. We’re officially launching a new session for schools. It focuses on the legacies of transatlantic slavery and is designed for key stage 3 and 4 students. It has been a while in the making and has been a real challenge to do but I’m really pleased with the outcome and how the session has shaped up.
