The ins and outs of Sudley House

5 September 2012 by Laura C

A year after joining National Museums Liverpool as a Visitor Assistant at the brand new Museum of Liverpool I find myself transported back in time, I have swapped the very new for the very very old.

I now work at the beautiful hidden gem that is Sudley House. With its period features and stunning artwork, working in a Victorian home is a dream come true for me. I’ll have Dickens over a DS any day of the week!

This weekend coming up, as part of the Heritage open month, here at Sudley we have A Grand Tour of the house and its estate.

Disabled Holiday Info

The tours will be led by our wonderful visitor host Simon and will run on Saturday and Sunday at 1pm and 3pm. The tour will cover the ins and outs of Sudley House and its estate so whatever the weather you’ll be sure to see it all. The house is wheelchair accessible, but the tour will cover some uneven ground outside which may not be suitable for wheelchair users.

So come along to find out more about the family who lived here, the Holts, the house, and its beautiful surroundings.

And if that doesn’t sway you, a little birdy tells me that there’s a chance to see some never before seen photographs of Sudley!

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
