September is World Alzheimer’s Month, with many organisations also marking Saturday 21 September, World Alzheimer’s Day, to shine a global spotlight on the fight against the disease. The theme this year is ‘Dementia – a journey of caring’, an idea which resonates very strongly with the House of Memories dementia awareness training at the Museum of Liverpool.

To mark the occasion, we have launched a new House of Memories e-newsletter which will keep you up to date with all the latest news and developments. There is a lot of preparation and activity going on behind the scenes in advance of our forthcoming training, as you can see from our inaugural edition. If you would like to sign up for the newsletter, just fill in your details on the website.

House of Memories logoBy October we will be into an extremely busy training period, with a brand new ‘housing sector’ model and the next round of health and social care training, which runs until March 2014. There are still a few places left, so if you want to get involved contact the House of Memories booking team.

We’ve got lots more ideas and plans for the future, so please do keep in touch.
