National Museums Liverpool is supporting the global Ask A Curator Day which sees museum experts on hand to answer questions via Twitter.

You can ask our experts about a range of subjects from maritime history and Egyptology to British pop culture. Simply use Twitter to get in touch with our curators on Wednesday 18 September. Please remember to use the hash-tag #askacurator

Via @MuseumLiverpool why not ask Paul Gallagher, Curator of Contemporary Collecting at the Museum of Liverpool, about The Beatles, boxing or Merseyside fooball.

Via @World_Museum why not ask Ashley Cooke Head of Antiquities & Curator of Egyptology about our ancient Egyptian Mummies.

Via @WalkerGallery you can find out more about the wonderful collection of Fine Art at the Walker Art Gallery from our Curator of European Art, Xanthe Brooke.

Meanwhile, if ships float your boat, get in touch with Ben Whittaker, Curator of Port History at Merseyside Maritime Museum. Ben will be taking questions on Liverpool’s rich shipping history via @merseymaritime

Remember to use the hash-tag #askacurator
