Museums and galleries brighten LightNight!

16 May 2017 by Andrew

Merseyside Maritme Museum, the International Slavery Museum and Walker Art Gallery join in with this year’s LightNight. The date for your diary is Friday 19 May, when they’ll remain open until 10pm, with some very special free events taking place.

Look out for tea tasting, tours of the In Safe Hands exhibition and Old Dock Tours at the Maritime, where you can also join our costumed guides Fanny and George for a poke around Georgian Liverpool. Over at the Walker enjoy crafts, music from the Colin Fallows Ensemble, and song from  Belvedere Academy Choir and Liverpool Community Choir – amongst other free stuff to do late into the evening.

Fanny and George illuminate LightNight with tales of Georgian Liverpool!

LightNight is Liverpool’s free one-night arts and culture festival. It’s a culture crawl like no other, with tons of special events for all ages at arts and cultural venues across Liverpool’s city centre. But where to go and what to do? Check out our handy web page here and start planning!
